FOTIMA CEO Lu Yizhen Invited to Deliver Open Lecture at KBTU University in Kazakhstan
Deepening Industry-University Cooperation to Empower Talent Development in Central Asia
Recently, Ms. Lu Yizhen, Chief Executive Officer of FOTIMA, was invited to the Kazakh-British Technical University (KBTU) to deliver an open lecture themed Cross-Border Compliance and International Supply Chain Management to junior undergraduate students from the University’s Business School. This lecture represents an important practice for FOTIMA in upholding the talent development initiative under the Belt and Road Road Initiative and advancing China-Kazakhstan industry-university collaborative education. It also serves as a landmark initiative for the enterprise to deepen industrial and educational linkages in the Central Asian market and empower regional talent development, further consolidating a solid foundation for China-Kazakhstan industry-university cooperation.
I. A Platform by a Top University, Empowering Growth with Industrial Practice
As a leading institution of higher education in Kazakhstan, KBTU was jointly established by the Government of Kazakhstan and British higher education institutions. Its Business School features an international all-English teaching system, adheres to high-standard talent cultivation philosophy, and focuses on nurturing talents in business, supply chain and engineering, enjoying an outstanding reputation across Central Asia. Most students of the University possess an IELTS score of 7.0 or above and solid professional competence in business disciplines, making them a core talent pool for high-end business and supply chain professionals in Central Asia and providing strong talent support for the high-quality development of regional industries.
During the lecture, drawing on FOTIMA’s years of practical experience in cross-border trade in the Central Asian market and achievements in high-end manufacturing going global, Ms. Lu delivered a systematic and in-depth lecture focusing on core topics including international supply chain architecture design, key points of cross-border trade compliance, regional market risk control, and practical practices of manufacturing overseas expansion. Abandoning the traditional theoretical indoctrination model, she deeply integrated real enterprise operation cases with professional business theories, vividly analyzing compliance procedures, supply chain collaboration logic and localized operation pain points in Central Asian cross-border businesses. This provided students with a practical, forward-looking and targeted industrial perspective, helping them bridge the gap between theory and practice and broaden their international horizons.
The lecture was met with enthusiastic and active participation. Students remained fully engaged throughout, actively taking part in group discussions and interactive Q&A sessions, and sharing their insights proactively, demonstrating strong professional competence, learning initiative and exploratory spirit. Following the conclusion of the lecture, many students continued in-depth exchanges with Ms. Lu on lecture topics and industrial development trends. Ms. Lu highly commended the comprehensive capabilities of KBTU students: “The students here not only have outstanding English proficiency and solid professional foundations, but also possess a strong sense of teamwork and thirst for knowledge. The quality of their group assignments exceeded expectations, and one can truly feel their passion and original aspiration for exploring cross-border trade and international supply chains.”
II. Joint Efforts by Industry and University to Build a Talent Cultivation Ecosystem
As a leading high-end manufacturing enterprise deeply rooted in the Central Asian market for years, FOTIMA has always prioritized talent development and industrial collaboration as core strategies of corporate growth, upholding the development philosophy of “rooting in the region and empowering partners”, and actively promoting the in-depth integration of China-Kazakhstan education and industry. This open lecture is not the first collaboration between FOTIMA and KBTU. Previously, FOTIMA has reached strategic cooperation with multiple top universities in Kazakhstan, promoting R&D in sensing technology, localized implementation of high-end manufacturing, and cultivating interdisciplinary talents with both professional competence and international vision through various forms such as joint laboratories, industrial demonstration projects and internship bases.
This open lecture not only built a bridge connecting theory and practice for KBTU students, allowing them to get close to cutting-edge industrial trends and accumulate practical experience, but also established a communication bond for FOTIMA to reserve talents in the Central Asian market, achieving complementary advantages and win-win results between industry and university resources. In the future, FOTIMA will continue to deepen cooperation with top Central Asian universities including KBTU. Through diverse forms such as serial open lectures, enterprise visits, internship and practical training, and industry-university-research joint projects, the Company will further break down barriers between education and industry. Focusing on China-Kazakhstan cross-border trade and international supply chains, FOTIMA will cultivate more interdisciplinary talents with international vision, practical capabilities and local sentiments, boost the high-quality development of the Central Asian regional supply chain ecosystem, and inject sustained impetus into people-to-people exchanges and industrial cooperation between China and Kazakhstan.
